The Connections between Mussel Watch for Potentially Toxic Metals and Nexus Seafood-Water-Energy

چکیده
The previous assessment intends to support the inaugural International Mussel Watch program's use of marine mussels as biomonitors potentially toxic metals in aquacultural areas has been considered low novelty even though it is a necessary biomonitoring. When looked into connections between and Nexus seafood-water-energy, questions can be raised up because there apparently no such discussion literature. Therefore, objective this review discuss for based on topic reported literature separately. current short act springboard additional insights offer fresh perspectives original suggestions using more effectively biomonitoring investigations seafood-water-energy. Nowadays, by remained effective sustainable which further highlighted their importance pollution monitoring. likelihood improved wider-ranging molluscan uses environmental monitoring future almost inevitable. However, research still needed address rising demand line with sustainable, attainable United Nation Sustainable Development Goals (‘‘Responsible consumption production’’, ‘Good Health Well-beings’). This surely major player Nexus’s seafood cycle water energy that should addressed studies.

The nexus of food, energy, and water.
The Earth's population is expected to exceed 9 billion by 2050, posing significant challenges in meeting human needs while minimally affecting the environment. To support this population, we will need secure and safe sources of food, energy, and water. The nexus of food, energy, and water is one of the most complex, yet critical, issues that face society. There is no more land to exploit, and t...
متن کاملThe accumulation of potentially-toxic metals by grazing ruminants.
The main factors affecting the accumulation of potentially-toxic metals (PTM) by grazing animals are the presence of the metal, its concentration in herbage and at the soil surface, and the duration of exposure to the contaminated pasture and soil. In addition, the elapsed time between the contamination of the pasture and grazing, the quantity of soil ingested together with herbage, the mechani...
متن کاملThe food-energy-water nexus: A framework for sustainable development modeling
Energy, water, and food are facing present and future challenges triggered by climate change, population growth, human behavior, and economics. Management strategies for energy, water, and food are possible through policies, technology, and related education. However, the links between resources (energy, water, and food) and impacting factors (population increase, human behavior, economics, and...
متن کاملDetection of potentially toxic metals by SERS using salen complexes.
Surfaced enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) can discriminate between metal complexes due to the characteristic "spectral fingerprints" obtained. As a result, SERS has the potential to develop relatively simple and sensitive methods of detecting and quantifying a range of metal ions in solution. This could be beneficial for the environmental monitoring of potentially toxic metals (PTMs). Here, sal...
متن کاملA Reference System Architecture for the Energy-Water Nexus
The energy-water nexus has been studied predominantly through discussions of policy options supported by data surveys and technology considerations. As the degree of coupling between the energy and water systems is affected by the design and operation of various engineered system components, our understanding of the nexus and ability to tackle its associated challenges would be enhanced by a sy...
